DERS DIŞI ETKİNLİKLER

INTERNATIONAL DAY

Güngören ITO Kız Anadolu İmam Hatip Lisesi hazırlık sınıfları ve 9. Sınıfların organize ettikleri "international day" (uluslararası günü) kutlarlar. Her sınıf kendi seçtikleri ülkelerin kostümlerini giyip onların yemeklerini sergiler. Rusya, Çin, Hindistan, İtalya, Güney Kore ve Meksika bu ülkelerden bazılarıdır. Bu organizasyon kapsamında öğrencilerimiz hem İngilizcelerini geliştirme imkânı bulur hem de farklı kültürel unsurları tanırlar. Böylece öğrenciler eğlenirken öğrenirler.

Gungoren ITO Girls Imam Hatip Highschool prep and 9th grade students celebrate the International Day. Every class dresses up and prepares the traditional food of the country they choose. Russia, China, India, Italy, South Korea and Mexico are only some of the countries. With this activity, our students find the opportunity to practice their English and also they improve their knowledge about the other cultures. While they are learning, they also have fun.

COLOUR DAY

Hazırlık sınıfları kendine bir renk seçer ve sınıfı o renge göre önceden dekore eder. O gün geldiğinde koridorlar ve sınıflar gökkuşağı gibi rengarenktir. O günde öğrenciler sınıflarının rengine göre kıyafetler giyinirler. Bu etkinlik oldukça eğlenceli olmasının yanı sıra öğrenciler için İngilizce iletişim becerilerini geliştirme imkanı da sunmaktadır.

Prep students choose different colors and they decorate their classrooms with these specific colors beforehand. When the day comes, the corridors and classrooms are all together like a rainbow. On this day, students also wear colorful clothes based on their class color. This activity enables students to speak English and improve their communication skills while they are having fun.

MUN ETKİNLİĞİ

Model Birleşmiş Milletler, dünyanın her yerinden gelen öğrenciler için okullar tarafından düzenlenen ders dışı bir etkinliktir. MUN'da katılımcılar konferanstan önce onlara verilen ülkenin politikasını dikkate alarak küresel meseleleri tartışırlar. Farklı yaş gruplarından öğrenciler gerçekleşmiş veya gerçekleşebilecek olaylarda bir ülkeyi temsil ederler. Öğrenciler temsil ettikleri ülkenin sosyal, ekonomik ve politik ilişkilerini ve güçlerini göz önünde bulundurarak temsil ettikleri ve dünyada süregelen olaylara karşı farkındalığı arttırmaya çalışırlar. MUN ögrencilerin birlikte sorunlara yönelik kararnameler geliştirmesi amacıyla düzenlenen bir simülasyondur.

Model United Nations is an extracurricular activity which is organized by schools for students from all around the world. In MUN, the participants discuss upon global issues considering the policy of the country that they were given before the conference. Students from different age groups represent a country in the event that has occurred or may occur. The students try to raise awareness about the events that they represent in the world by taking into consideration the social, economic and political relations and powers of the country they represent. MUN is a simulation designed to help students develop decrees for problems.

JOKE TELLING

İngilizce Fıkra Anlatma yarışması (Joke Telling Competition) öğrencilerin eğlenirken öğrendikleri bir etkinliktir. Hazırlık sınıfı öğrencileri, en sevdikleri fıkrayı gruplar halinde seyirciler önünde canlandırır. Yarışmanın amacı kendi kültürümüzün değerlerini İngilizce eğitimiyle birleştirmektir.

The Joke Telling Competition is an activity that students learn while having fun. Prep students play their favorite jokes in groups in front of the audience. The aim of this competition is to combine the values of our culture with English education.

QUIZ SHOW

İngilizce genel kültür yarışması 9. sınıflar arasında düzenlenir. Öğrencilere fen, müzik, edebiyat vb. gibi farklı alanlardan 20 soru sorulur. Bu yarışmanın amacı öğrencilerin genel kültürlerini ve İngilizce seviyelerini eğlenceli bir şekilde artırmaktır.

The general knowledge competition in English is held between the 9th graders. The students are asked 20 questions from various fields like science, music, literatüre etc. The aim of this competition is to expand the students general knowledge and their level of English in a fun way.

DEBATE

İngilizce Münazara Yarışması Din Eğitimi Genel Müdürlüğü tarafından düzenlenir. Farklı sınıflardan 4 tane tartışmacı seçilir. Bu öğrenciler yarışmada Din Eğitimi Genel Müdürlüğünce belirlenen münazara konularını tartışarak okulumuzu temsil ederler.

Bu yarışma dışında, okulumuzda hazırlık sınıflarında, 9 ve 10. sınıflarda da sınıf içi ve sınıflar arası münazara çalışmaları yapılmaktadır. Bu sene bu münazara çalışmaları online olarak gerçekleştirilmiştir. 

Debate Competition in English is organised by The General Directorate of Religious Education. Four debaters are chosen from different classes and at the competition these debaters represent our school discussing on particular topics decided by The General Directorate of Religious Education.

Apart from this competition, students from prep classes, 9th and 10th grades join debate competitions in their class and among classes. This year, debate competitions were organized as online.

ENGLISH CAMP 

Güngören İTO Kız Anadolu İmam Hatip Lisesi olarak, hazırlık öğrencileri için akademik yıl boyunca İngilizce kampı düzenliyoruz. Kamp, yoğun eğitim programı nedeniyle büyük talep görüyor. Kampın amacı öğrencileri motive etmek ve İngilizce konuşma korkusunun üstesinden gelmelerini sağlamaktır. Güngören ITO Kız Anadolu İmam Hatip Lisesi olarak öğrencilerimize İngilizcelerini günlük hayatta uygulayabilecekleri bir ortam sağlıyoruz. Deneyimli yabancı öğretmenlerle öğrencilere hedef dili uygulama şansı veriliyor. Okul yurdunda 3 ila 6 gün kalıp dili gün boyu uyguluyorlar. İngilizce bölümü olarak, dil öğrenmede pratiğin gerekliliğine inanıyoruz. Kamptaki öğrencilerin İngilizceden başka bir dilde konuşmasına izin verilmediğinden, kamp, öğrencilerin pratik yapma ve dil becerilerini geliştirmeleri için büyük bir şanstır. Kampın sonunda öğrenciler dil becerilerini geliştirir ve hedef dili kullanma konusunda kendilerini daha güvende hissederler. Kamplar, her gün tekrar dersleri olduğundan akranlarının gerisinde kalan öğrenciler için de büyük bir şanstır.

As Güngören ITO Girls Anatolian Imam Hatip High School, we are arranging  English camps throughout the academic year for Prep students. The camp is in high demand due to the intensive educational program. The purpose of the camp is to motivate students and make them overcome their fear of talking in English. As Güngören ITO Girls Imam Hatip High School, we provide an environment where the students can practice their English in daily life. Students are given a chance to practice the target language with experienced foreign teachers. They stay in the school dorm for 3 to 6 days and practice the language all day long. As the department of English we have a strong believe in the necessity of practicing the languge in the way of learning. The camp is a great chance for students to practice and improve their skills as none of the students in the camp area is allowed to speak in a language other than English. At the end of the camp, students improve their skills and feel more confident in using the target language. The camp also is a great chance for the students who has fallen behind their peers as there are revision lessons each day.
